Montgomery County, MD Heritage Days invite you to take a step back in time: The Oakley Cabin in Olney, MD is an African American Museum and set up just like it was between 1880 and 1920 offering a glimpse of a time long gone. The cabin was one of three that were built next to historic Brookville Road. It was more sophisticated than others of its time with its foundation as well as a boxed staircase to get to an upper level. The cabin was occupied until 1976.
