The market remains fairly stable despite the drop in interest rates.  The number of new listings has decreased but we are still seeing a similar number of homes going under contract and settling.  I'm surprised I'm not seeing more individuals making the decision to buy with so many great deals available.  The weather has been changeable from record breaking cold to unseasonably mild this week, with temperatures today reaching 54 degrees.  Many people have put off their home buying for the seasonal activities of Christmas, Hannukah and other festivities.  Now with the economic stimulus changes and low interest rates it will be interesting to see how this all changes.  Overall, there has never been a better time to buy, than right now. These figures are taken directly from our MRIS syste...

The new year is well under way and I have seen an increase in the number of phone calls our office is receiving from buyers looking for homes and investment properties.  Every day since New Year's Eve has provided us with at least one good solid call from a new buyer. Many people have put off their home buying for the seasonal activities of Christmas,...

The market remains fairly stable despite the drop in interest rates last week.  Now, imagine what would happen if the media told you the rates would drop more, so you wait.  Check with your lender to see if rates dropped if you would be able to float your rate down to the new rate.  The number of new listings has decreased but we are still seeing a similar number of homes going under contract and settling.  I'm surprised I'm not seeing more individuals making the decision to buy with so many great deals available.  The weather is unseasonably mild this week, with temperatures today reaching 60 degrees.  Many people have put off their home buying for the seasonal activities of Christmas, Hannukah and other festivities.  It will be interesting to see how this all changes with the changes ...

Happy Birthday to my daughter, Kristen today!!  And, welcome home to my son Ryan, home from Ft. Bragg for the holidays.  Last year Ryan spent Christmas in Iraq, this year with God's blessing Ryan is home for Christmas.  The market remains fairly stable despite the drop in interest rates this week. We are expecting snow tonight and tomorrow and the weath...

Tis the season to be jolly!!  Once again this year Advance Realty Anne Arundel is supporting the Marine Corps Toys for Tots Foundation.  You can drop off new, unwrapped toys to our office until December 15.  The Advance Realty Anne Arundel office is located at 1405 Madison Park Dr. in Glen Burnie.  Madison Park Dr. is located off Crain Hwy south from Baltimore Annapolis Blvd and north from Hospital Dr.  Call 410-761-1550 for office hours.  Many children will not celebrate Christmas this year if people like you and me do not donate toys to the Toys for Tots drive.  Imagine if a young child awakes in the morning to nothing under their tree, perhaps they won't even have a Christmas tree.  This is a very worthy cause.  The primary goal of Toys for Tots is to deliver, through a shiny new toy...

The market remains fairly stable with some increases in sales with the drops in interest rates, and a few more buyers searching for their first or next home.  The number of new listings has decreased but we are still seeing a similar number of homes going under contract and settling.  I'm surprised I'm not seeing more individuals making the decision to buy with so many great deals available.  The weather has started to cool down with moderate days and cool nights and people are thinking about the end of summer and back to school and I think this may be having some cooling effect on the number of home buyers looking for new homes.  The number of new listings has increased slightly and the number of homes going under contract has also increased.  The numbers show a slowing in the market o...

We have a new President-elect, Barack Obama.  What an historical election for this country.  All eyes will be on Obama now to see how he will bring this country from the brink of recession.  The market remains fairly stable with some increases in sales with the drops in interest rates, and a few more buyers searching for their first or next home.  I'm surprised I'm not seeing more individuals making the decision to buy with so many great deals available.  The weather has started to cool down with moderate days and cool nights and people are thinking about the end of summer and back to school and I think this may be having some cooling effect on the number of home buyers looking for new homes.  The number of new listings has increased slightly and the number of homes going under contract...

Even after the bailout was agreed upon the stock market continues to be on a roller coaster ride with the Dow closing down again this week.  The upheavle in the financial market continues and home buyer's and seller's alike seem to be paralyzed by fear.  Do we try to sell our house?  Do we try to hold on?  Do we buy now or wait?  I've heard homeowners talking about the Deed in Lieu of Foreclosure option more this week than over the last year.  So many choices to choose from.  The Baltimore Sun reports this week that resale numbers are up for the first time since the beginning of the rise in the market several years ago.  Thoughts are straying to Halloween next week and the holidays after that.  The market remains fairly stable with some increases in sales with the drops in interest rate...

Happy Canadian Thanksgiving!!  Even after the bailout was agreed upon the stock market continues to take a beating.  This week we've seen more of the same upheavle in the financial market that home buyer's and seller's alike seem to be paralyzed by fear.  Do we try to sell our house?  Do we try to hold on?  Do we buy now or wait?  So many choices to choose from.  Thoughts are straying to Halloween and the holidays after that.  The market remains fairly stable with some increases in sales with the drops in interest rates, and a few more buyers searching for their first or next home.  I'm surprised I'm not seeing more individuals making the decision to buy with some of the seller funded downpayment programs going away at the end of September and with the increasing number of down payment ...
