Update Your Profile Photograph With A New Spring Picture Most of us use a camera on a regular basis.  However, for personal reasons, we do not update our profile photographs as frequently as we should. Now, this week, is a good time to select a fresh new photograph and place it on our social medial and internet sites.  Be very careful with the image you select to create the best first impression. Have a great week, with your camera in hand. Green Crested Basilisk, National Zoo IMG_9646 Photograph by Roy Kelley using a Canon PowerShot G11 camera. Roy and Dolores Kelley Photographs

Kentlands Flowers - Roy and Dolores Kelley Photographs  The weather in Maryland was beautiful for Mother's Day.  Dolores and I spent the afternoon at the gardens and then the museum at Dumbarton Oaks in Washington, DC.  The rose garden is especially beautiful and the peonies are in full bloom.  If you have not visited Dumbarton Oaks, you should add that destination to your list of very special places in the District.  The Dumbarton Oaks Museum has a wonderful pre-columbian art collection. We are seeing new spring flowers in Kentlands, in Gaithersburg, Maryland, on a daily basis.  Now is the time to plant flowers and vegetables. Have an outstanding week, with your camera in hand. Peonies are blooming in Kentlands When the Peonies are blooming in our home garden, we know that many other spring flowers will soon follow. It is now time to do garden planting in Maryland.  Hopefully, there will be no more nighttime frost in our area. Many of us will be visiting the local nurseries to select flowers and plants.  Yes, tomato plants are also high on the list. I hope you are having an outstanding week, with your camera in hand.  What is blooming in your garden? Discovering Kentlands Spring Flowers During Photowalks I try to walk a lot for the benefits of the exercise and when I do photowalking, I find that focusing on the flowers as I seek the changing colors of the seasons makes the walks even more relaxing.  The flowers change day by day and close observation allows me to anticipate where I will find the most beautiful blooms to enjoy. Give photowalking a try to get to really know your community and to gain the extra pleasure of the colors provided by nature.  I expect that most will find that they positively react to the colors of spring.  All of us know that when we gain a positive attitude, our day will be much improved. You will want to have your camera in hand to capture the special moments. Clematis, Kentlands, Spring Flowers IMG_9071 ...
