Fall Loose Leaf Collection in GaithersburgFall loose leaf collection for single-family and townhouse owners begins Monday, October 27, and will continue through Friday, December 26, weather permitting. SNAP Benefits Threatened for 680,000 Maryland ResidentsIn a statement released Friday, Governor Wes Moore said the Trump Administration has directed Maryland not to issue SNAP benefits and withheld legally required contingency funds, warning that approximately 680,000 residents, including 270,000 children, may not receive food assistance beginning November 1.He added that the state has received no assurance of reimbursement if it covers the costs itself and vowed to continue pressing the federal government to meet its funding obligations.​”In a letter dated Oct. 10, the Trump Administration directed the State of Maryland not to issue SNAP benefits.
