Here are the real estate market statistics for Boyds Maryland for the month of July 2008.  Even though the average home price is down by about 27%, the dollar volume is only down a little over 6% from last year at this time.  I believe the short sales and foreclosures have affected the values.  The good part is that Boyds is a strong draw for sales because the actual volume is almost the same as last year this time. There were 6 homes sold which is actually 50% more than the same time last year and the average sale price was up by 11.2 % from the same time last year. That's good news if you live in Boyds.

I live and work in Boyds, MD in Kings Crossing. I have had the privilege of participating in 14 transactions in my neighborhood. There are many reasons that Kings Crossing is such an excellent place to live. All of the neighbors are friendly; there is an amazing pool facility with three pools including: a wade-in pool with fountains, a lap pool and a kiddie pool; there is a great playground in the community with a ball field and tons of equipment too; also several tot lots throughout the community.
