West Newton, Newton MA West Newton is one of the oldest of Newton's villages. Its main thoroughfare is Washington Street which provides easy access to the Massachusetts Turnpike and the MBTA Commuter Rail Station. West Newton is one of the thirteen villages of the City of Newton, Massachusetts.  It is one of the oldest of these villages.  Like all of the villages in Newton its boundaries are not firmly defined, but the Zip Code 02465 roughly matches the village limits. West Newton is located  in the north central part of Newton.  It is bordered by the City of Waltham on the North and by the Newton villages of Auburndale (on the west), Newton Lower Falls (on the extreme Southwest), Newtonville (on the East) and Waban (on the South).Like many of the villages of the City of Newton, West Newton has a town center shopping area.  The West Newton town center (West Newton Square) has several good restaurants and is the home to the West Newton Cinema, which shows both first run films and independent films... 10/28/2007
