I have many goals this year and staying in front of all the content that I want to share with my clients, prospects and peers is one of them.  I am excited to be part of this challenge.  My college aged son is home for the holidays and I was just showing him some of what I do on a daily basis.  I showed him my goals and objectives written for this year.  He and I are very much alike in that we love a challenge and love the discipline to make things happen. Today I started off with the goal of calling 20 people each and every working day, or 250 a week.  I know this is a lot, but I was able to get to 17 today while I also wrote my newsletter that will go out to my database of people tomorrow around noon. Don’t get me wrong focus is good, but the question is, focus on what?  If you are focused on the wrong things you will not get anything of substance completed. All of the real estate pundits have varying punch lists of activities to be productive.  We know we have to spend time every day on prospecting, but what is the percentage?  We know we need to be marketing every day, but what and how?  We have to be making presentations, by following our leads and converting them to the presentation step. Those are all income producing activities. New YouTube video shows how easy it is to gain entry into a garage (and your house) My brother in law sent me a story today regarding a home inspector who noted that the garage door on a house he was inspecting had a dent in the top center of the door.  He concluded that someone had tried to break in.  When confronted, the sellers claimed that they had no idea.  Then, someone found this little gem on YouTube.  Click here: YouTube - Breaking into a Garage Pretty scary, huh?  I found a couple other videos on YouTube showing what a homeowner can do to reduce the risk of someone getting in to the garage.  Essentially, you need to put a small chicken wire "cage" around the area where the pull string is attached and tie it on with plastic zip ties. 5 Days Old & Getting Cuter by the Day I don't know about most of you, but this week has been very busy.  The end of the tax incentives has aroused buyers' interests, but not enough to get them off of the fence.  One wonders what else buyers are waiting for? Anyway, things should slow down next week - the inspectors are fully booked up, some lenders are not taking new applications and lawyers are working diligently putting in penalty clauses for those buyers and sellers that do not come to terms by April 30 and close by June 30.  But now it's time to take off the Realtor hat for a few hours and spend some time with our newborn beagle pups.  Our office co-mascot, Lele Grace Tigger Too, had four beautiful pups on Sunday April 4 and it has been a truly amazing experience watching Gracie and... 04/09/2010

WEICHERT, REALTORS-Synergy's newest co-mascots sleep it off I was really aiming to compete in Bob Stewart's localism challenge this week, but writing about the  puppies have kept me very busy indeed! Such is the life to succle on the breast of mom, and literally pass out from exhaustion.  If there is any doubt how healthy these little buggers are - they've all gained over 6 ounces in four days -that's like 50-60% growth!  I love this picture (we take bunches every day), because their little tummies are so distended after feeding.  With their eyes still shut and ears not hearing (takes about 2-3 weeks), it is amazing how they find Gracie, grab on to her nipple for dear life, and go for the gusto!
