Chunks of Concrete Fall onto Route 85 in Southborough - Is this Big Dig II?  Last night police were called after chunks of concrete fell onto the roadway on Route 85 in Southborough. They seem to have fallen from the Mass Pike overpass.   Several drivers reported that "brick-sized" pieces of concrete were strewn all over the travel lanes causing a one-mile stretch of the road to be temporarily closed.  This is a bit reminiscent of the catastrophic events that occurred following the construction of the "Big Dig" central artery project in Boston.  We all recall the 2006 collapse of the ceiling of the Interstate 90 tunnel which killed a motorist. Update on the Genzyme "Damaged" Home on Route 30 in Southborough  Two days ago, I wrote a post about a home that I had passed by on Route 30 that displayed signs on the property claiming that Genzyme Corporation has ruined their home.   I asked for answers and received one - from one of my readers.  She kindly sent me an article that was printed on June 7 in the MetroWest Daily News.   The home in question is actually over the town line of Framingham and is located in Southborough.  This is an area that is directly across from a three-story parking garage belonging to Genzyme Corporation.  The owner of the home, Theo Kehaias claims that the new garage was built with a faulty drainpipe.  The drainpipe runs beneath the garage connecting a brook behind Mr. Kehaias's home with its terminus ... 07/30/2010
