Winter Wonderland at Winslowe's View in Pinehills We received our first snow fall on Sunday and it was a significant (plowable) accumulation. A Blog, a Community, and a New Career! I remember when I first started blogging on Active Rain. I didn't know the first thing about writing a blog post. I knew people were blogging, and that it was supposed to be one of the best ways to grow your business. It was, and has been a "must do" in the real estate industry for a while now. It took a little while for me to get my blog groove going, but I did eventually. There were numerous posts encouraging us to write super local content about our communities. I took the bait (points), and started writing Localism posts. Rather quickly, I found myself on the first page of Google for my keywords in the community where I love to sell real estate... the Pinehills. The posts were getting noticed, and my phone was ringing. I was showing and selling...

America's Hometown 15th Annual Thanksgiving Parade in downtown Plymouth Massachusetts kicked off this morning at 11:00 a.m. and I had a birds eye view from the second floor of my real estate office at ERA Belsito on 100 Court Street, Plymouth MA. Many local residents as well as out of town visitors came to watch this annual event and I doubt anyone was disappointed. There were numerous marching bands, floats, horses (including the Budweiser Clydesdale's) a few large balloons, a military flyover, and of course Santa made his appearance near the end of the event. From start to finish, the parade lasted about 2 hours. It was fantastic, and if you were unable to attended, you are in for a total recap with the attached slide show. You might want to plan on attending next year. Enjoy the show...

IT SEEMS EVERYWHERE I GO THESE DAYS CUSTOMERS AND ORDINARY PEOPLE ARE ALL ASKING ME THE SAME QUESTIONS, IS THE WORSE OVER YET ? ARE THINGS GETTING BETTER IN REAL ESTATE ? ARE PRICES GOING UP OR DOWN AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST  WILL I EVER GET MY EQUITY BACK ? WE AS REALTORS ARE PROBABLY MORE EXPOSED AND MORE AFFECTED EMOTIONALLY THAN MOST BY THE CURRENT HOUSING CONDITIONS. THERE IS NOT A COMMUNITY THAT HAS NOT SEEN A FAMILY PACK UP THEIR BELONGINGS AND MOVE INTO BARELY ADEQUATE HOUSING, NOT BEEN ABLE TO LIVE THE AMERICAN DREAM THAT OUR GRANDFATHERS HAD COME HOME TO BUILD AFTER THE SECOND WORLD WAR. IN PLYMOUTH MA WE HAVE SEEN OUR SHARE OF FORECLOSED HOMES, SOME LEFT AS NEAT AS A PIN BUT MOST LEFT IN SHAMBLES, SIGNS OF ANGER AND DISRUPTION, I  ALWAYS WONDER AS I WALK IN THOSE HOMES WHAT THEY...

Pinehills Homes For Sale - Toll Brothers a Success Story! While touring Pinehills with new clients the other day, I was presented with a "new" price sheet for The Toll Brothers homes. To my surprise, I was being advised of a price increase. What's that.... a price increase in THIS market?  That's right, the Toll Brothers Models have been so successful, that they have actually increased their pricing. Okay, it is a modest increase ($3,000-$5,000), but an increase just the same. Congratulations Toll Brothers! I knew the price point you introduced was going to be very attractive to potential buyer's searching for a single family home in Pinehills. Read more here - Pinehills Plymouth MA - Introducing The Toll Brothers New Construction. It appears Toll Brothers have found that "sweet spot" o...

Cafe Olio is celebrating their 5th anniversary in business.  On August 31, 2010. If you haven't stopped in to savor the fares offered at Cafe Olio, it's time you did. They have much to offer from deli sandwiches, gourmet sandwiches, grilled paninis, salads, soups and some delicious prepared salads..... I am a creature of habit and tend to go for my favorite chicken salad wrap for lunch, but have sampled their prepared salads, and incredible pastries and deserts. I like to stop in with clients when I am touring the Pinehills and they quickly become fans of Cafe Olio.Did I mention their deserts and pastries? Oh yeah, I did. They also serve breakfast. I recommend the yogurt parfait. It is fantastic! Cafe Olio also offers catering. I have attended many events within the Pinehills where they...

Well it doesn't seem so long ago that we met at a Bed and Breakfast on Sandwich Street, Route 3A, in Plymouth Massachusetts to listen to the visions of a company coming to our community with a dream.  The dream was to create a community in the Plymouth Colony, a vision similar to the Pilgrims, a vision of creating a community within a community.  I can remember sitting in the beautiful surroundings of the bed and breakfast listening to the grand ideas of defining an area in the woods...and I do mean the woods, there were trees everywhere.  An area which seemed so removed from the then current hub bub of activity. The developers showed us their designs, beautiful renderings of town houses and condos and more.  We looked at each other, could this be true?  Will they carve a civilized comm...

Mortgage Rate Forecast for August 3, 2010 - Improving, or...? Here are some of the events affecting mortgage rates today: What Mortgage Backed Securities (MBS) Are Doing Today: The price of the FNMA 30-Year 4.0% MBS coupon opened at 102.22 this morning - the same as yesterday's close. At 9:30 AM, the 4.0% MBS coupon was trading at 102.28 - up 2/32 from its opening. Remember, on mortgage backed securities (MBSs), as the price goes up, the yield comes down - and so do mortgage rates. I expect that mortgage rates will be about the same in price this morning as compared to yesterday.
