by Edward Moloney 9/10/09 The Home Buyer Tax Credit may help someone who wants to move back to Holliston meet the goal. We have all been inundated with information as it relates to the government and their efforts in keeping the housing market moving ahead. Some of the information that I have heard on the radio and even read on the web is very far from clear. I am writing to provide the readers of the HollistonReporter.com some facts relating to the Tax Credit. 1. The credit is not only for people who have never owned a home before. The credit is for anyone who has not owned a principal residence in the last three years prior to the purchase date and is purchasing a primary residence. 2. The credit is phased out at different income ranges.     During a "full contact" scrimmage last night in Lakeville, a Holliston HS junior was fatally injured.  Joey Larracey died at the hospital after being hit in the chest during a game at  Apponequet Regional High School.  Holliston High School is making grief counseling services available to its students. Last night Joey's teammates visited with his family and were followed this morning by HS Principal Cournoyer and Holliston Superintendent Bradford Jackson.   "Any tragedy of this magnitude will have a profound effect" on the school and the community," Jackson said. "It’s going to be a long and difficult process for all of us."   This tragedy has impacted the entire Holliston community and students are urged to take advantage of the services made available at the high school.   Please ...

Holliston Market Report - From 11/3/07 to 12/3/07Holliston is the picture of New England.  As you drive through town you see many historical homes.  In the center of town is the Fiske Store which a a wonderful place for crafts, kids toys and collectibles, penny candy.  Just across the street is the a great market which has been there for years.  My favorite spot in Holliston is Lake Winthrop.  It is this serene lake,  It takes me back to going to New Hampshire in the summer with family and friends.  Among the wonderful things about Holliston is the school system.  Absolutely great school system.  In future blogs I will share some neat things about this quintessential little town. Holliston is bordered by Millis, Sherborn, Medway, Ashland, Hopkinton, and Milford. Pat Baker, Realtor, Need...
