Hampden town meeting agrees to fund study for possible new police station HAMPDEN - Voters at Monday’s special Town Meeting by a majority vote approved the appropriation of $15,000 for a study for a possible new police station. Police Chief Jeffrey Farnsworth said the Police Department is operating “24/7 out of an 800 square foot space in the Town Hall.” “Our server room is a bath room,” he said. “We can’t store files.” Farnsworth said there is no room to expand in the current Town Hall. “We are looking for a recommendation to expand in the most cost effective way,” Farnsworth said.
