The average cost of land in Eastham was $346,708 in 2014. The average Eastham condos sold for  $210,050 in 2014.     The properties in each category were on the market for an average of 185, 340, and 231 days respectively.  Most of the single family homes were 3 or more bedrooms.  All but 4 of the condominium units sold in Eastham in 2014 had at least two bedrooms.   The average living space for the single family homes was 1590 square...

Eastham Massachusetts has over 5,000 residential properties and more than half of them are second homes.  Eastham is bounded by Welfleet and Orleans, the Atlantic Ocean, and Cape Cod Bay.  Less than half of the properties in Eastham are second homes (40%+-).  There are great beaches on The Atlantic Ocean and on cape Cod Bay and Eastham calls itself the "gateway to the National Seashore."  Even with its high second home percentage, Eastham had very few of its homes in pre-foreclosure as of May 6, 2008. On May 6, 2008, I did some research on pre-foreclosures in Cape Cod towns.  Only 1.3% of the 140,000(+-) homes on the Cape were at the stage of pre-foreclosure.   Less than half of the homes on Cape Cod are actually second homes, and commercial properties are not included in the 1900.  Mos...
