This was last year's Bellingham Memorial Day Parade. We had so much fun! I always enjoy seeing the kids' smiles when they receive their goodies. On this picture, both my kids are handing out bubble bottles and beach balls... well, my daughter's bag of those balls seems empty. In any case we, at Realty Executives Tri-County, have much more to give out today. Come on out and join us at 2PM this afternoon. The parade starts at the Bellingham Memorial Middle School and will proceed onto Main St to end at the Town Common for the ceremonies. See you soon! Take pictures on send them my way on FB!

The Easter Bunny came and so did some 100 Bellingham (and surrounding) kids. And no, you are not seeing "things". Yours truly was indeed wearing her Bunny Ears (no tail!) along with Sherri. I am very fortunate to belong to our office "C.A.R.E. Group" with all these wonderful women which are (from left to right): Flo Byrnes, MaryBeth Cuomo, Ro Caddick-Kilduff, Sherri Kauker and myself Lydie Dickinson (next to the Easter Bunny). Our group stands for Community Advocate of Realty Executives. About 8 times a year, we get together and give back to our town. Remember before Christmas, I posted the pictures of Rudolf the Red Nose Reindeer who visited children at our office? Our next get-together will be on April29th to provide water to our 5K Bellingham Runners. We will have two water stations...

What a spectacular day here in Bellingham, Mass. After opening all my windows to let the fresh air come in and wash the sheets of all bedrooms, I had to head over to the office. It was my turn to the “uptime” chair. Well, I guess I am not the only one with spring fever. A few calls, e-mails and a walk-in with questions about possibly listing! …Oh yes, I can smell it. Spring is here and the real estate market is back. And that is great news for everyone. Happy spring!

With all this nice weather coming our way, many of you will be thinking of making a move. That it is selling or buying a home/ condo/ duplex. How will you choose your agent? What will make you want to deal and do business with “the” agent? What quality, qualifications, and characteristics will you be looking for? Chances are you will be seeing, talking and dealing with this agent for the next six months. You must build a great business relationship based on trust. I cannot say how important this is enough times.    Please! Go ahead. Write to me your thoughts. What are you looking for? Tomorrow, I will share with you some of those answers and later, will share what we; real estate agents, are looking for in a great client. I don’t know about you but here in beautiful Bellingham Mass, the phone has been ringing! To my surprise and for the second week in a row, my cellular phone has been ringing. No tidal wave by any means. I am talking about questions on what one’s home is worth, about rental listings, questions on “what if I sell this spring”, “what if I buy a house in the upcoming months” and about what should be done or fix in order to get ready for a possible move. In my book, it is all very positive signs. The economy is turning around. Winter is over. Spring is in the air and in our neck of the wood; it sure rings like a wonderful symphony!

Some people call me crazy. Some people call me a rescuer. Either way, I am proud to say: My family and I saved a dog’s life yesterday. I have been talking about it for a long time. Three years to be exact. Immediately after we rescued our Salty (yellow lab mix), I announced to my family that in three years or so, Pepper would join in (black lab mix). After about six months of research, we found her through Petfinder.com.  She was sitting in a kill shelter in North Carolina. Wags Rescue to the rescue! They brought her to their facility in Horsham, PA.  My son and I decided to take a road trip. We cut our ski-vacation short to go to her rescue. The trip itself was so much fun. We left on Saturday, slept at a hotel in Warminster. We had supper at a local restaurant where we met “townies” ...

“Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice; and most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.” Steve Jobs Honestly, I am not sure if I want to add to this week’s quote. Mr. Jobs did say it all on this one. Therefore, enjoy every moment of your life. Make every second count. Start now!

It is time to think ahead. If you are a New-England fan: The Patriots season is sorely behind us. The Red Sox will be warming up in a few short days. The Celtics are… The Bruins are once again the hope of Bean Town. Life goes on at a much too fast pace.  Maybe it is technology or maybe it is the people around us but time is passing us by. Or does it? Do you let the clock ticking in front of your very own eyes? What are your dreams? Your hopes? Your life goals? And; most importantly, where will you be able to accomplish them? The answer should be: at home. Home is where you can rest, think, be yourself, are comfortable, love, get creative, enjoy life. When people visit you, from the moment they enter your private domain, they see you. You are in the décor, the atmosphere, the vibe. Your ...

Good News for Bellingham in November when compared to same month last year. Last year only 8 homes sold in November - And this year?  Actually 15 single family homes sold (and another 3 condos).  That is almost double over 2010. The number of days it took to sell these homes stayed about the same (141 days in 2011) .  Even the average list and sale price increased.  But the per sq foot sale price has decreased that tells us in Nov 2011 the size of homes sold were larger than in 2010 on average.  Still it's pretty clear the market is leveling off and buyers are out there.   Next Month we'll be looking year over year - So stay tuned for that report

It was so much fun yesterday! Thank you Bellingham! Rudolph made it on time and for 2 full hours to meet and greet all the Bellingham kids that stopped by... most likely on their way to meet with Santa at the Bellingham Town Common for the Tree Lighting Celebration. It was an unusual warm day and as usual we; the C.A.R.E. Group of Realty Executives Tri-County, were there along with some merchants of the Colonial Plaza to assist Rudolph with his pictures with the children of Bellingham. We had reindeers food, red noses, a coloring contest with a prize of $25 gift card, hot coco too. IronClad Accounting also had treats for the kids and were available to answer "grown-up" questions. Fields Wine were giving a wine tasting for the adults and candy for the kids. BSC Club was offering face pai...
