I've gotta be honest. I'm still a bit skeptical about being able to run the whole 13.1 mile race in November. Don't get me wrong, I'm making tremendous progress. For instance, my Day 1 time for 2 miles was a whopping 48 minutes! That included several sessions of walking over the duration. Exactly 4 weeks later, my 2 mile time was 19:30 and 2 days later, 19:01! I'm definitely feeling faster and stronger. Still, in the back of my mind, I keep asking myself,"Can you really do this?" Back up a few days to Saturday when I ran 5 miles with my cousin and my wife. Somehow I allowed my wife to map our course. We ran some of the "hilly-est" roads in West Monroe, LA!    $3.8 Million Dollar Office Building Sold     Richland Tower in West Monroe, which Mayor Dave Norris called an "instant landmark" when it opened in 2005, has been bought by ZEG Ventures of New Orleans for $3.8 million.   By 2009, only two floors of the 57,000-square-foot building were occupied, but Ryan Roark's Advanced Property Management firm brought Richland Tower back to 100 percent occupancy, which facilitated the sale to ZEG Ventures.   Ryan Roark brokered the sale locally through Keller Williams Commercial and he will continue to manage the property.   Roark scored a key deal with new tenant Ford, Bacon and Davis, which leased two floors. The aging concrete seawall which protects the city from flooding if the river overflows its banks in West Monroe will get a long-needed face lift this year.  A grant from Home Depot and materials donated by Sherwin Williams will make it possible.  AmeriCorps, Keep West Monroe Beautiful, agents from Keller Williams Realty and other community organizations will provide the volunteer labor. The project will be kicked off Jan. 16-18 in conjunction with the national Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service.
