That's right lawn ornaments.  That's what I call them for lack of a better name.  I want to start a new group for the most bizarre lawn ornaments.  I know you have seen them, people put some really strange ones out there. Take a look at this one and tell me what you think.  This is from a residence in Slidell not far from my parents home located in Northshore Beach Subdivision Slidell.  I just hope they took the bodies out.

Any full time Realtor who survived the past twelve months go ahead and pat your self on the back.  You are a survivor.  You made it through some of the toughest times possible.  If you were able to pay your bills and stay above water well done.  If you were able to grow your business this year than my hats off to you.  Happy New Year and here's to a great one coming.

Ok guys if it's good enough for us it's good enough for them.  Fleming is from Louisiana's Fourth Congressional District.  Too many active rainers don't want to talk politics on their blogs but this one will effect us all eventually.  No matter where you stand on politics.  HR 615 On Tuesday, the Senate health committee voted 12-11 in favor of a two-page amendment, courtesy of Republican Tom Coburn which would require all Members of Congress and their staff members to enroll in any new government-run health plan. Congressman John Fleming has proposed an amendment that would require Congressmen and Senators to take the same health care plan that they would force on us. (Under proposed legislation they are exempt.) Congressman Fleming is encouraging people to go to his Website and sign h...

How To Care For Your Lawn If you love your lawn, it's only natural that you would want to give it the proper care to help give it a healthy appearance.  After all, your landscape is one of the first things that people will notice when they arrive at your home.  Your lawn can either make or break your curb appeal. Grooming If you have weeds, remove them with the proper tools or by pulling them out of the ground manually.  An important part of grooming your lawn is mowing it regularly to give it a manicured appearance. Feed Your Lawn    Yes, even your yard gets hungry and what it craves more than anything is water.  Most experts recommend that one thorough watering each week is preferable over a light misting every other day.  When it comes to feeding your lawn, the best time of year to f...

How To Successfully Set Up A Freshwater Aquarium An aquarium is designed to simulate a natural environment for freshwater life.  Speaking of freshwater, the fish that are found here are, as the name implies, those which are found in fresh water and not from the sea.  If you want to start a freshwater aquarium in your home, keep the following in mind to help your fish-keeping hobby a swimming success. Choosing The Right Aquarium Aquariums are available in a variety of sizes and styles, but your most important consideration is the type and number of fish that you will be housing.  If you plan to have a large freshwater fish community, you may need to consider either a large aquarium or several smaller ones to accommodate your new friends. Building A Home Theater   These days, a home theater is one of the most popular trends in the nation.  Homeowners are opting to save a bundle on the cost of theater tickets by bringing the fascinating world of cinema into their own homes in a big way. Quality Counts When it comes to creating a home theater, the choice is yours when it comes to the level of quality that you want to deliver.  A home theater can include something as basic as a television and DVD system or it can include a projection screen with surround sound and, for the family who really wants the authentic experience, actual theater-style seating. Money Matters Building a home theater isn't cheap, which is why it's important to set a realistic budget before getting started.  Unless you are an expert at installation, hir...

Plenty of clients always ask questions about how to increase the value of their home.  It really isn't a secret but plenty seem in the dark.  One way is to remodel your bathrooms and not overspend doing it.  BOn the left below is the pre update picture.  On the right is the after picture.  With new floors and vanity tops the improvement was dramatic.

Yep I was a bad boy today.  Left the office and phone behind today for a little R & R.  The weather was nothing but sunshine and about 60 degrees.  Drop dead gorgeous.  I loaded up the boat picked up a buddy of mine and off we went. We arrived around 1 p.m. and the bite was non stop.  We caught a two man limit (50) by three o'clock.  I am glad we got back early so we could clean them and eat some for dinner tonight.  This is the only way my wife will let me go again. The fishing is as easy as it gets right now.  Take a day off and fish the marshes in the Rigolet's area of Eastern St. Tammany Parish.

It's that time of year again.  The last weekend to shop before Christmas.  Please be courteous to other drivers and show some patience.  We don't want any road rage incidents over the Holidays. I was caught in traffic for over an hour yesterday by the exit for Northshore Square in Slidell.  I usually don't even notice the traffic.  Show the Holiday spirit and be calm and enjoy the day.  hey it finally stopped raining after what 25 inches this month so far?

Slidell Real Estate - Moving With Pets Moving to a new home can be stressful on your pets, but there are many things you can do to make the process as painless as possible. Experts at The Pet Realty Network in Naples, Fla., offer these helpful tips for easing the transition and keeping pets safe during the move.1. Update your pet's tag. Make sure your pet is wearing a sturdy collar with an identification tag that is labeled with your current contact information. The tag should include your destination location, telephone number, and cell phone number so that you can be reached immediately during the move.2. Ask for veterinary records. If you're moving far enough away that you'll need a new vet, you should ask for a current copy of your pet's vaccinations. You also can ask for your pet's...

Slidell, Real Estate - Take the Stress Out of Homebuying Buying a home should be fun, not stressful. As you look for your dream home, keep in mind these tips for making the process as peaceful as possible.1. Find a real estate agent who you connect with. Home buying is not only a big financial commitment, but also an emotional one. It's critical that the REALTOR® you chose is both highly skilled and a good fit with your personality.2. Remember, there's no "right" time to buy, just as there's no perfect time to sell. If you find a home now, don't try to second-guess interest rates or the housing market by waiting longer - you risk losing out on the home of your dreams. The housing market usually doesn't change fast enough to make that much difference in price, and a good home won't stay ...
