New Orleans Real Estate - Market Report - River Ridge This week's market report takes us to the River Ridge Area. This is truly one of the most interesting market reports that we've done in  some time. It's a buyer's market, but not really. There are about a year's worth of homes currently available for sale, but the average days on the market is less than three months and the price per square foot sold has gone up each and every quarter. In fact, it has increased over $14/square foot in a year. That's really good. It appears that the higher priced homes are hard to sell based upon the average list price of $408,911.   "Condominium Living with a Townhome Style"   I recently listed this condo in River Ridge and wanted to call it a town-home.  It is a condo since it shares the common areas and was legally built as such. It is also a townhouse from an architectural stand point. So something could be both in terms of style and then its legal classification which center around the common areas and the common laws of condos. This is a great area and has been for 20 years. There are few condos in River Ridge but Steamship Circle was reserved for condo developements. The area is primarily residential but is near a lot of things. I sold this condo about 8 years ago and recently listed it. It looks much better than when I sold it Yoni and Kathy. You are an easy commute to Elmwood Business Park, Oshner Hospital, River Ridge, Harahan and but 20 minutes to the New Orleans CBD. Located along the Mississippi River upriver from New Orleans, River Ridge offers a tranquil lifestyle with an easy commuteto downtown and Metairie. The area is known for its large trees and many large lots. The area has no industry or jobs, its just a great place to live. I listed this home today and as I do with all my listings I make a separate page on the website to give a better look at the property and the area. Mardi Gras season is upon us in South Louisiana and people like to decorate their homes. This home is not too far from where i live and it caught my eye this morning. These guys are in the spirit. This River Ridge Acadian style home besides have some great Spring time plants already is getting ready for Fat Tuesday which is a week form tommorow. They more than likely will decorate for Easter. Not many other places decorate like people do down here. More than likey they are getting ready for a party since there hasnt been any since the Super Bowl, Saints NFC game, New Years, and Christmas.                        Steamship Circle River Ridge CondosRiver Ridge, La 70123The Steamship Circle area of River Ridge is a collection of Condos that have been very popular due to location. Its very close to Elmwood Business Park, close to Oschner, easy commute to the New Orleans CBD. Its a short drive to the Zyphers ball park on Airline Park. The condos are in complexes of 4, 5, 8, 16 and 20. All have been fairly well maintained and have shown great appreciation.
