Mid City homes in New Orleans have a tremendous variety of historic homes and styles.  You just have to look at these homes that are within several blocks of each other to see the styles.  Few of these are found any where else in the City.    The raised cottage pictured above is one that is very unique as it the plantation like home below.  These are all with 3 blocks of each other. Really hard to duplicate these old homes. The generally sell quickly as there are never many for sale in the area...So much so that realtors cannot make a living in this area...

Our weely market report takes us to the heart of New Orleans as we take a peak at the Mid-CIty neighborhood. It's another area where property values are on the rise and are moving at a significant rate to boot. Almost a $30/square foot sold difference between the 12-month and 3-month marks. Another interesting trend is that the houses not selling are averaging $153/sq.ft. This could be for several reasons (location, condition misrepresentation, floor plan or a variety of other factors.) Feel free to let me know if you have any questions about the above information. Also, I'm more than happy to assist you in purchasing or selling a home should it be your service area. Here's a look at the schedule for our upcoming market reports for Orleans Parish.Feb. 28 - Warehouse DistrictMar. 7 - G...
