I finally tried Bayou Chocolate and I must say it is worth the stop. When I walked in it smelled so heavenly and it took me a while to decide on what I wanted, because everything looked so good. I opted for the Chocolate Covered Strawberries and The Pecan Swamped Apple. The chocolate covered strawberry was dipped in Milk Chocolate and had a White Chocolate drizzle on it. I must say it was delicious and I devoured it in a second. The strawberry was big and juicy and you could tell it was freshly made. I highly recommend you trying one. Then I could not pass on the Candied Apple. I really liked that they cut the apple for me. It was dipped in caramel, then chocolate, and lastly dipped in chopped pecans. The apple was so big I even shared it and still have some leftover. The only thing I d...

If you are looking for the best, spicy crawfish in town, then Cormier's Restaurant is the place for you. Cormier is a Cajun and Creole style restaurant, but are known for their crawfish. Unlike other places around their crawfish is consistent, so you know what to expect. When you go here you know you will always get some good southern crawfish. I will warn you now that the crawfish are spicy, so EAT AT YOUR OWN RISK. Then they have the bouncy house, which is great to entertain the kids, plus many times they will bring out a live crawfish to show the kids and they LOVE it! On the night we went, they had live entertainment and it was great. The only con is that many times you have to wait on seating, but I promise you it is worth the wait. The staff is also very friendly; they do not make...

River and Rail Cantina is a new "Up and Coming" Tex-Mex style restaurant located in Downtown Monroe. The building overlooks the beautiful Ouachita River and the railroad bridge. They have the outside seating area styled very lovely and open. It has a very relaxing atmosphere with patio tables overlooking the view and they also have fire pits to keep you warm when it's a little chilly outside.            The waitress, Samantha, was great, but they have much to work on. One of the servers dropped some plates and let an inappropriate word slip out in front of us and other guests. They are new, so they are still going through trial and errors. The menu was quite small to select from. My friend got the Chicken Burrito and it was good, but not great. Then I had gotten the Steak and...

Looking for Commercial Lease Space? Tips on Using a Tenant Representative Your primary business is running your company. How often do you lease office space? Hopefully, you don’t have to do so more than every 3 to 5 years or so; the same with lease renewals. The bottom line is that you rent office space only a few times in your business life.  Landlords on the other hand rent space over and over again. In most cases, they even hire a listing agent to help market the property and advise them. Do they have an unfair advantage? You bet they do. How do you balance this unfair advantage? Engage the services of your own commercial broker; a qualified office tenant representative. These are commercial brokers who specialize in representing tenants, not landlords. Many tenants have a fear tha...
