Metairie Housing Stats Last week we touched up on some housing stats in New Orleans. This week we are going to take a look st some interesting housing stats in Metairie over the last six months. This week's market report takes us to the area near Lafreniere Park in Metairie. This like pretty much every other area of the New Orleans metro market is a seller's market. Houses are hovering around two months on the market. Metairie Real Estate - Pontchartrain Gardens Our weekly market report takes us to the Pontchartrain Gardens neighborhood in Metairie. This is another hot market with homes lasting less than two months on the market. The price per square foot is extremely consistent, so sellrs should have no problem selling their homes if priced correctly. The current active properties only have a 23 days on the market average. New Orleans Real Estate - Market Report - Above Causeway This week's market report takes us to the area South of I-10. Judging by the days on market, houses are not lasting long in this area. One thing to note is that the difference betwen price per square foot of solds and actives are basically the same. This is probably due to a misrepresentation of an excellent condition. Homes are taking around four months to sell on average in this neighborhood. It's pretty much a balanced market with about 6 months worth of inventory available. This area extends from the 17th St. Canal to Causeway and the Lake to I-10. This area is a seller's market with an average of three months supply on the market. Selling time is lasting a shade under three months as well.
