  Last fall  I represented a wonderful retired couple, Jill and Jack,  who purchased a house in Prairie Village to be closer to their son in Roeland Park.  Jill wanted a mid-century modern home, which can be difficult to find: if one pops on the the market and is  updated and well maintained, it will  go under contract within  a few days of listing.  However, we did finally find one with a nice open floor plan (previous owners had knocked down some walls), in a great location with a carport and a garage, three + bedrooms, two baths…. and in their price range!                   Jill loves to remodel homes, so she immediately started to make plans for renovating the interior to her specific taste.  I thought this rehab process would be a good blog topic:   what the buyers want to do vs wh...

I don't remember the address - aside to wife - honey, what street was that house on?" A conversation ensues while I wait patiently (patiently) for him to come back to the phone call he initiated.
