Wordless Wednesday – Or Is It WEIRD Wednesday??? This home is in a Noblesville, Indiana neighborhood where I just sold a home.  Luckily it is not right across the street!!  You see the naked man standing in the window?  That’s Bob.  Bob stands there 24/7.  He never moves, never waves, never smiles.  I am told he has thousands of identical twin brothers. I am also told that the person living with Bob used to be a karate instructor and ‘Bob’ is his kicking/punching bag. Is it just me or is that not a normal window décor? 02/16/2011

This little guy (girl?) lives under the deck of one of my past clients in Noblesville, Indiana.  Seems as if he has picked a perfect spot, though there is probably not much vegetation under there.  Maybe my clients could shove some lettuce and carrots under there.    I have been trying for years to get a picture of this sign. It is at a rather busy intersection.  One would have thought that the Noblesville Street Department would have beat me to it and replaced it!  I hope everyone who takes a look sees the obvious!!   I am thankful that even though others have probably noticed, they have chosen not to report it.  It is good for a smile each time you drive by!! 02/03/2011

A top-notch school system, affordable real estate and a hometown feel are just a few of the reasons Noblesville Indiana continues to garner recognition as one of the best places in the country to live. I'm happy to report that there are also plenty of fun things to do and see in Noblesville Indiana. I’ve compiled a list of favorites. Every year, the elementary schools in Noblesville, Indiana designate one day of the year as Grandparents’ Day. The children prepare special artwork, snacks and sometimes a program of music to share with their grandparents.   The grandparents are invited to come to school for a couple of hours towards the end of the day and visit with their grandchildren.  This has been a tradition since I have lived in Noblesville, over twenty years.  Last Friday was that special day.  At the present time, I only have one grandchild in elementary school.  My husband and I showed up promptly at 2:00 as did Grandpa Jerry.  We were greeted by Jack, grinning from ear to ear.  Jack proceeded to show us around his classroom.  STOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   After about 15 m... 11/20/2010

Today is Veterans Day.  My American flag is proudly displayed at my home in Noblesville, Indiana----but it is proudly displayed 365 days a year!  I looked down the street and I see that a few of my neighbors have their flags out too, but not nearly as many as I saw after 9/11.  Where is our patriotism?  If you forgot to hang your flag, it is not too late!!  11/11/2010

I've made it a point in the past few years to avoid Thanksgiving-weekend shopping--like the plaque. And let me assure you that I'm normally the most dedicated of shoppers. It's just that parking lot rage, ridiculous lines and dubious "deals" somehow negate the joy. But that all changes this year! On Nov. 27, I plan to hop a train to downtown Noblesville where I'll shop til I drop in the peaceful yet festive atmosphere of the quaint courthouse square! The inaugural Holiday Shoppers' Express to Noblesville gets its engines chugging on Saturday, Nov. 27 with round-trip train rides from the Fishers Train Station to a stop in Noblesville just half a block away from the charming city square.      My husband enjoys feeding the birds.  He puts peanuts out for the Blue Jays and they love them!!  When I was a little girl, we resqued a Blue Jay with an injured wing.  He was not able to fly, so he became a family pet.  We called him 'Blue'.  He thought my mom was his mate.  He would try to feed her and make romantic little noises for her.  He could also do the wolf call---which he usually did when he saw Mom.  I am so thankful to have these birds in my backyard to remind me of those wonderful memories! 11/04/2010

  When you’re looking for fun things to do and see in Noblesville Indiana, don’t forget Potter’s Bridge! It’s a local landmark, a state historic site, home to lots of Indiana wildlife, and always a great place to spend a sunny fall day. As of today, there's one less Noblesville Indiana home for sale. Sadly, this isn't a SOLD story. Instead, it's the story of what happens when homeowners indulge in overpersonalization. This particular home is beautiful, has plenty of updates, is in a great neighborhood, and got numerous showings. We just couldn't get anyone to bite. The problem? Overpersonalization. What had once been a garage was now a cozy family room. Does the family room add extra living space? Yes. Does it provide shelter for people and vehicles during frigid Indiana winters? Nope. Does it it offer a place to store all those things that just seem to belong in... well, the garage? No again.   Not only is Noblesville Indiana a great place for families, it’s now officially a great place for senior citizens as well!  Word’s out that Noblesville made the Top 5 in an MSN Money article naming the Best Cheap Places to Retire in the U.S. The list, compiled by Bert Sperling of Sperling’s Best Places, considered affordable housing, a stable economy, reasonable access to medical care and a wealth of leisure activities in its choices. Noblesville, it seems, has all those in abundance! Noblesville was recognized by Bert Sperling of Sperling's Best Places as one of the cheapest places to retire citing it's low median home prices and health care. Meanwhile, CNNMoney.com ranked Fishers today as the 8th best place to live in America citing it's location, schools, and affordability.
