I'm of the opinion that there are no magic tricks to selling your home.   If it's priced right and presented well, it's going to sell.  Period.    We recently did an open house on one of our higher end listings.  One of the other agents in my office suggested that we bake cookies right before the open house.  This would make the home smell amazing, plus it's nice to have cookies for the visitors.   Then she said:  Baking cookies will increase the odds of somebody wanting to buy the home.   I have nothing against cookies.  I love cookies.  They're awesome!   But do cookies really sell homes?   I get what she's saying.  The smell of a home is very important.  I've seen buyers get completely turned off by intense odors and not even finish the showing.  If a buyer walks in and the first thi... 03/30/2014
