What makes Fishers Indiana residents friendlier than most? Maybe it's the satisfaction of knowing they live in a town that has been named one of the Best Places to Live in America (CNN Money), the Safest City in America (City Crime Rankings), America's Most Affordable Suburb (Business Week) and the Best City for Families (The Learning Channel). Or maybe Fishers residents are just naturally friendly people! Whatever the reason, Fishers can now add "Friendliest" to its list of accolades. The town (soon to be a city) of 80,000 recently landed the No. 3 spot on the Forbes.com list of America's Friendliest Towns. The top choices, which included towns in Washington, California and Georgia, were selected based on low crime rates, high rates of homeownership, a well-educated population and an ...

Looking for a starter home for sale in Fishers? There are currently 134 homes under $150,000 for sale; 46 of those are condo’s. Of the 134, there are 35 that are “distressed” meaning bank owned or a short sale. I have one that is completely updated with stainless steel appliances, new kitchen cabinetry, center island, new flooring, updated tile and vanity in baths, new roof, new windows and new HVAC system. Located at 11715 Rush Drive, the home is fully fenced and has a minibarn and playset. The list price is $144,900. My sellers bought the home and being the handy people that they are opened the kitchen so that is flows to the formal DR and living area. They vaulted the ceilings too. Located in the popular Sunblest Farms subdivision; it is walking distance to the park and various shops...

Fishers, Indiana isn’t exactly known as a walkable community. Or is it? According to www.walkscore.com, a site that measures the “walkability” of cities throughout the U.S., downtown Fishers scores a respectable 71 out of 100, or a Very Walkable rating. Very Walkable means most errands can be accomplished on foot. And when you think about it, that’s true! Downtown Fishers Indiana is a very walkable community. From neighborhoods near the Fishers Town Center, including Sunblest Farms, Charleston Crossing, and Fishers Pointe townhomes, you can walk to the library, post office, pharmacy, a bank, a bakery, several restaurants, beauty salons, and gift shops, and Fishers Elementary School. Even Handel's Homemade Ice Cream! And with the addition in 2012 of an outdoor amphitheater and multipurpo...

I love a challenge and to be able to write about anything under the kitchen sink strikes a chord with me.  I can write, blog, chat and even graph on just about any topic. After I looked under my sink, I decided the best choice for this was a bucket.  You must first understand that I am an accountant by background (Real Estate is a 2nd career) and that means I am cheap.  I am also fairly green and love to recycle.  So as you look at my picture you might say "where is the bucket??" and I'd be pointing to the kitty litter container (aka bucket).  It is now serving as a bucket after it's initial use was completed! How do buckets relate to Real Estate, ah...easy.  If you are a seller and especially if you have kids, then you know!  You get that call from the Realtor that doesn't plan well th...
