My Favorite Honolulu Neighborhood:  Palolo Palolo is a quiet residential neighborhood in a valley that’s roughly 2,500 acres bordered by Waialae Avenue in the Kaimuki neighborhood. Palolo is also nearly adjacent east to the Manoa Valley. Filled with lush green vegetation, some of the most expensive homes in Oahu are located here with terrific ocean and hillside views. Elevation is higher here, so more rainfall is normal. Palolo is very convenient but is a relatively unknown community. This past Sunday my wife and I were out walking our dogs around 5 p.m.  Temperatures were cooling off and darkness was just setting in. We live in Palolo Valley, a quiet neighborhood in Honolulu.  As we were walking, we saw a moped rider on Palolo Avenue making a right turn onto Kiwila Street.  His speed was reasonable, however it appears that he grabbed too much front brake as he was turning.  The front end slid out and he went down onto the ground.  There was another vehicle at the intersection, but it appeared to me that this was a one vehicle accident and the rider just made a mistake. We ran up to the rider to see if he was okay.  He wasn't moving and his head was bleeding.  I was surprised because he hadn't been going that fast and he just slid out.  But it looked like he may have...
