This lush, tree-laden neighborhood was originally planned and developed by the Gordon family of Savannah, its most famous member being Juliette Gordon-Low, founder of the Girl Scouts of America. Designated a National Historic District in 2001, the neighborhood lies just minutes from the heart of Downtown Savannah yet retains a park-like ambience that was incorporated into its design as the city's first suburb.
