It may not look it, but Jackson County is growing in leaps in bounds.  Just think back two years ago and no one had even heard of a city that sounds like you are clearing your throat (Hoschton).  Now, Hoschton is home to the fastest selling neighborhood in the Atlanta Area (Village at Deaton Creek). The city of Hoschton is shooting to make a name for itself... in the Guinness Book of World Records.  The goal? To bring 4,000 scarecrows throught the Hoschton mailing route.  Hoschton, a city of confusion for even wikipedia, is located in 4 counties, including Gwinnett, Barrow, Jackson and Hall.  Mill Creek High School, thought to be in Dacula by many locals, known as the "Hamilton Mill High School" as well, is actually in Hoschton, GA.    The mailing route includes neighborhoods such as Trilogy Park, Village at Deaton Creek, Reunion, and lesser known area of west Jackson.  That's over 5,800 households. Coles Pond, located in Hoshcton, GA, is a 77 Estate home gated community.  With lot sizes up to 3 acres, this community offers all the luxury trappings of living in a Chateau Elan-esque community without all the strings that come attached. Trilogy Park is an oustanding alternative to Sterling on the Lake and Hamilton Mill.  The same builders, less amenities, but the same schools and not the monster neighborhood at under 500 homes.
