It's Fall Again And I Still Love The Colors Fall is a wonderful time of year.  We have enjoyed all of the fun of Summer, and now we are at a place of fresh change and renewal.  A lot can be said of our need for change in the colors displayed across the state in the Fall.  In Georgia we have the most beautiful colors displayed throughout the Fall of the year.  There are glistening hues of reds, oranges, yellows, silvers, browns, greens and many more.   I especially enjoy the North Georgia mountains during this time of year.  I never cease to be amazed at the natural beauty within the Fall colors.  While I don't particular care for the drop in temperatures, the colors keep us warm for a little while longer as we look for Winter to take its place in the pertpetual parade of the seasons. South Fulton Parkway Traffic Diverted - Hollywood in South Fulton Today I went to my barber for a haircut - skin fade on the sides and back with a little left on top.  Anyways I approached South Fulton Parkway and saw orange signs everywhere pointing towards detour.  As I got closer to the intersection coming from Highway 92, I saw the scene in the picture below.  upon further questioning I found out that a movie was being filmed.  Something about drag racing.  Even though I did not see any celebs, the experience was neat.

Is Selling A HUD Home A Good Thing?   I recently read a comment on another post that said '...I will never sell a HUD home.'  Wow!  To me that was pretty strong.  And I know other agents who will never 'fool around' with a HUD contract.  There is a lot of coordination on the selling side of the transaction between getting the contract in on time, setting the property for inspection, and so forth.  I get it - some agents just do not want to be bothered with all of the 'steps'. However, I think it is a WONDERFUL thing to sell HUD homes for several reasons.   Selling a HUD Home helps our economy to be better.  Why?  The HUD Home is essentially a non performing asset sitting on the balance sheet of the US government.  Doesn't it make more sense to get that non performing asset off of the US...

What's happening with real estate in Village Green in Fairburn GA? Village Green in Fairburn, GA, has had modest activity.  Surprisingly there was a downturn in average sales price from 2012 to 2011. The Mortgage Debt Relief Act is a huge part of the 'fiscal cliff' debate across congress and across the nation.  Originally this legislation was passed in 2007 to help homeowners avoid owing a bunch of money to the IRS in the case of a short sale or foreclosure.  In the case of a short sale, the amount in question is the difference between what the property sold for and what the loan amount was.  S0 if you sold for $150,000,and the mortgage was $250,000, the taxable difference is $100,000.
