I recently had solar panels installed on my own home. I am located in the Orlando area of Florida..  Here is my experience of the process.Why did I decide to go Solar?  My electric bill for the months of June, July, August 2023 were  $430. $450, $480  respectively . That is an increase of $150 a month from the same time a year ago. Yes some was from increased use with the A/C running more because it was a hotter summer than last year.  Mainly it was the price that my power provider was charging now per kilowatt hour compared to a year ago. We met with a solar company representative at our home. Stranded in Lake Wales, Florida. I helped a client of mine to sell her mobile home in Baltimore County just a couple of years ago so that she could relocate to Lake Wales, Florida. It was a quick and easy sale. After a couple of years in Florida, she is ready to return to the land of pleasant living (That's Maryland in case you were wondering.) Having a hurricane blow off half of your roof can do that to you. But after nearly 8 months on the market and after cutting the price in half, she has no offers. She has an okay 2 bedroom and 2 bath 1986 mobile home located just about 20 to 25 miles east of Tampa and just about 20 miles south of Orlando.  I thought that Florida had a hot sellers' market like most of the rest of the country. What's going on in Florida?
