The number of properties available for sale in the Venice/Englewood area real estate markets are continuing to decline, down 34% from the same month one year ago; 4647 properties for sale to 3060, sales that are pending in the area are remaining strong for September 2009, up over 53% from one year ago; 270 properties pending to 415 properties pending*:  an indicator of buyers interest in the Venice/Englewood real estate market.  Even though the number of homes available for sale in our area continues to decline, we are still in a Buyer's market.  If you are considering selling your home there are steps you can take to ensure a successful sale. I just recently went on a listing presentation.  I really wanted to get this listing because it is in a community that I want to break into.  This was an expired listing that I sent my expired listing letter to and also a postcard.  I was so excited when I got the call to sit down with them and go over with them what I can do for them to get their home sold.  When I got there I found out that I am the 4th Realtor that they are interviewing for the job of selling their home.  I am glad to hear that sellers are doing there homework and making sure that they are hiring the right person.   The number of single family homes pending in the Venice/Englewood area real estate markets jumped in August 2009, up over 60% from one year ago from 275 properties pending to 440 properties*, an indicator of buyers interest in the Venice/Englewood real estate markets. Even though the number of homes available for sale in our area continues to decline, we are still in a Buyer's market. Today my son Michael, his friend Chris and I went down to the Grace United Methodist Church on the Island of Venice and helped with the unloading of the pumkins for Venice Florida's favorite annual Pumpkin Patch event.  Many volunteers showed up to help unload the semi-truck full of pumpkins.  Just how many pumpkins were there?  About a million!  I have never seen so many pumpkins before.  With everyone working together it took about 2 hours to complete the task.  Water, juice and donuts were provided to all.  My son and his friend worked like maniacs inside the very hot semi truck most of the time and I am very proud of them and of all their efforts.
