Tierra Verde was originally 15 islands at the southern western end of Pinellas County. Today it is 667 acres with six areas. They are: Monte Cristo, Entrada, Pinellas Bayway, Sands Point, East Shore (Bayview) and West Shore (Oceanview).  The area has many waterways from 150 to 350 feet wide up to 15 feet deep.
