The other day I posted some pictures that I took while out in Tavares, Florida.  I had the family with me that day, so I decided to stop off at Hickory Point so that the little ones could get out and play a little. This is one of the great things I love about being a Real Estate Broker, I am able to take my family to work with me if I want. Hickory Point is a great recreation area. It runs along the banks of Lake Harris. There are several boat ramps and docks, pavilion, playground, bbq grills, picnic areas, swimming beach, nature trail, volleyball nets, soccer fields, etc...Hold up, why I am telling you about Hickory Point? I had to go out to Tavares Florida for a showing, so I decided to stop off at a few places to take a few pictures. Hope you enjoy.    This is a seaplane that had just landed on Lake Dora. Tavares is nicknamed "America's Seaplane City".    This is Lake Dora. Spend a day here boating or just sit back and watch the seaplanes take off and land.   This is the splash park in Tavares. This park overlooks Lake Dora and has a large pavilion for parties. The fee is $2 to get in and this is a very popular place for kids during the spring and summer.   This is Wooton Park. Independence Day Celebration "Spirit of America" The City of Tavares Recreation Department brings the "Spirit of America" to this Independence Day Celebration beginning at 3 p.m. in Wooton Park, 200 S.
