Another great idea from the Seminole Isle Home owners association. They are having a Bake sale on Saturday Nov. 10th at the clubhouse in Seminole Isle. People who live in Seminole Isle, friends family etc. (and we are participating too) are donating home baked good. The proceeds go towards the next Seminole Isle holiday party. I think it is a great idea.   Our contribution will be German Mandarin Muffins ( don't they just look awesome?)

Whenever somebody asks me if I know a good photographer in the Seminole | St. Petersburg FL area, the answer is Sarah Wood Photography, Tel. 727-422-6664. Sarah Wood is not only a good photographer, she is an EXCELLENT photographer, and I have heard that first-hand from several of her clients! Sarah Wood’s vision of photography is heart-warming and very personal, here a quote from her website: “I view things in what appear to be clicks, or shutters. My child flashes a smile at me as he walks into his first day of Kindergarten: click. I watch as a teenage girl helps her Grandma out of the car to grocery shop (oh, how the roles have changed): click. (…) Pure, simple love: click.  This is life in photography. It is yours to live; mine to capture!” I had 2 photo sessions with Sarah Wood in ...

Whenever somebody asks me about a referral for a good dentist in Seminole, FL, the answer is Dr. Edward Busch on Seminole Blvd.   Dr. Busch is not only a good dentist, he is an EXCELLENT dentist, and I have heard that first-hand from several of his patients! Dr. Busch’s mission statement says that he wants to be his patients’ lifetime dentist. True to that statement, patients of all ages are welcome at his office, and he offers a wide range of services from simple preventative procedures like cleanings, to full mouth rehabilitation and complex esthetic dentistry. Dr. Busch is a father of two and wonderful with children as well, I would definitely recommend his practice for children with simple oral questions and concerns. His staff and Dr. Busch himself are very kind and patient, they e...

Its amazing how when pet owners are looking for a new home the needs of the pets are often top of the list and no matter how beautiful a property maybe if Fido is not happy then nor are we and I am one of the worst I can assure you.   If the road is too busy or the neighbors are too close or the fences cannot be erected in the right places and more often there just is no yard for playtime then believe me pet owners like  myself will not look twice.     125th Street N and 120th Ave N in Seminole Florida right around Pinellas Groves and Walsingham Park is paradise for our pets, the homes you will find here are well established family sized houses with more importantly never ending yards, mini woodlands encased in pet friendly fencing just waiting for Fido and his family to move in and mak...

Whats so great about Condos and Townhomes in Seminole Florida?  Living in Seminole so close to the Gulf of Mexico we attract a huge amount of clients looking for vacation or second homes, and who can blame them we are fortunate to live in such a desirable area, however, not everybody is in a position to own a mansion on the sand but that doesn't mean they can't have their own piece of paradise.   In Seminole Florida we have the answer to all of the issues that part time residents are likely to have, I am constantly being asked:                                       What happens to my property while I am away?   Who will cut my lawn? Beach property is so expensive?   Security is a worry when I am not here?   And the list goes on.......       So here is what I suggest in Seminole Florid...

There are many wonderful neighborhoods in Seminole Florida, but Thurston Groves says luxury and finesse from the moment you set eyes on it.   Tucked away between 102nd Ave N and Ridge Road in Seminole, Thurston Groves is one of Seminole's most sought after and prestigious communities. The exquisite neighborhood of Thurston Groves has just four streets with names such as Golden Eagle Drive and Falcon Terrace, all lined with manicured lawns and perfect landscaping, nothing here is out of place.   Each single family home is built to please the eye with designer everything and none of these come in size SMALL. Pinellas Recreational Trail runs along one side of Thurston Groves giving you that extra incentive to leave this amazing neighborhood from time to time and maybe find your way to the ...

Thinking about selling your property in Seminole Isle A lot of people have bought their property in 2005 and 2006 and they paid a lot of money for it. Unfortunately the real estate market in Florida and everywhere else in the US for that matter has crashed since then and prices including Seminole Isle have gone down a lot.    Please keep in mind, nobody knows what the future will bring and things can change on a dime if something somewhere in the world happens but right now, I think we hit bottom at the end of 2011 and we are on our way up again.   This doesn't mean that prices will jump back to 2005 pricing within month but watching Seminole Isle closely and working with buyers and seller every day, I see two every encouraging signs for Seminole Isle.   Between 2005 and 2011 we had an ...

Today, I helped a client who has a condo at the Shores of Long Bayou in the Seminole | St. Petersburg area. While waiting in front of the building, I had the opportunity to enjoy a few quiet moments, and relax at the pond at the Shores of Long Bayou. My afternoon held a sweet surprise: These little fellows entertained me and kept me company, they enjoyed the pond, along with turtles and lots of other wildlife. The baby birds would hover down in the grass – it looked like they were trying to hide, not very successfully in my eyes, but I recognize the attempt. The adult birds would come and go, into the water, out of the water, check on the babies, back in the water. I tried to use the internet to learn what kind of new friends I found today, but I am not a Florida native and not very fam...

The City of Seminole in Florida, has so much to offer, surrounded by the beauty of the Gulf Beaches, good shopping, and with a host of restaurants and bars the City of Seminole is a great place to live. Just a few minutes away the white sandy beaches of Madeira Beach, Reddington and Indian Shores offer beach walks and glorious sunsets.  If boating is your thing the City of Seminole is surrounded with opportunities to take to the water, both Seminole Lake Park and the VA Memorial Park on Bay Pines Blvd have public boat ramps. Bay Pines Marina will look after your boat or you can join the local boat club if you prefer to just dabble from time to time.  Another popular spot around Seminole is Walsingham Park, a great place for fishing, and a little daily activity, apparently around 700,00...
