September is typically a quite month in our beautiful community of Deep Creek - a suburb of Punta Gorda - Florida. During September there were 18 closed transactions. Single family homes accounted for 13 of these sales and were priced from $82,900 to $315,000. The average sale price was $140,000. This price may have been skewed slightly because of the single 'higher-priced' home. Condos made up 3 of the sales in September. The average list price was $62,000 and the average sales price was $44,700. This demonstrates clearly that the market is still severely depressed and favors buyers.
