I am probably going to get in trouble one of those times, but I just feel like I have to talk about that. It happened around year ago...... I had listing , it was short sale with owner living in California ( we are in Florida). Seller did not want to pay for grass to be mowed, so ( well, it is Florida) grass was growing and growing. City put lien on property - that I understand. What I do not understand - why it was $150 a month ? They took owner to court, maximum that court can award is around $5000, so with legal fees my seller was on hook for almost $6000. Well, guess what ? City paid somebody to cut grass and started with code violation from the beginning.       As many of us know and realize, the National Flood Insurance extension was going to end on September 30th, 2010. Well, it has finally been extended until September 30th, 2011. Most reports online are reporting that the Senate has approved the extension and that they are awaiting on the House to approve the Bill.  But there were no news updates on what happened with the house, at least from what I could find.
