The Village of Palmetto Bay is a vibrant community in Miami-Dade County.  The village incorporated on September 10, 2002.  Prior to it's incorporation Palmetto Bay was known as the Perrine area of Miami. Palmetto Bay is located directly south of Pinecrest.  They share SW 136th Street as their common boundary.  The village stretches as far south as Eureka Drive (SW 184th Street) and it's East/West boundaries are Biscayne Bay and South Dixie Highway respectively. Have you received your Miami-Dade Notice Of Proposed Taxes ? I have. I guess I shouldn't be shocked by the fact that I didn't get any reduction in the amount. School Tax wasn't touched as it was exempted. Palmetto Bay was also exempted as it was new. The difference between last year actual and this year estimated is a huge $ 735.16. WOW, what a great job our state legislators did for us. What really makes me wonder is in the midst of falling home prices and no sales to speak of and lenders going out of business the Miami-Dade Acting Property Appraiser has RAISED MY PROPERTY VALUE 03%.
