Things seem to be all out of order to me. Not that today's way is bad, just not what I grew up knowing what was the order of events. Young people single and are buying homes together. You will need to understand what choices you have as far as the way the title to the home reads. If single you may want to take the title as joint tenants with right of survivorship. That means if one of you passes away then the property goes tto the surviving person and not their heirs. Catalina IslesMerritt Island Real Estate Update since Jan 2011 uncovered some interesting results for buyers! My research today was Central Merritt Island. If you want to sell in todays market chances are you will accomplish your goals! And if you are buying here the prices are affordable! In the price range of listings $100K-$250K there were 14 SOLD homes between 1/1/2011 and 3/24/2011. The actual sales prices were $95K-$229,900.  7 sales were on the market under 100 days!
