We have quite a few really good pizza places in the Melbourne area. I was told by a couple of my clients that I needed to try Slices at 3760 W Eau Gallie Blvd Ste 101 Melbourne, FL 32934.First: the location is not ideal for a restaurant in the Melbourne, FL area, not real close to large population areas. It is close to some large warehouses which may answer the question as to why Slices is closed on Saturday (hours Sunday through Thursday 11-9pm, Friday 11-8pm).In terms of the food, the thin pizza is very good. The old Coral Bay Restaurant property on US 1 in Melbourne will be developed into a seven-story resort hotel with a national chain restaurant (possibly Bahama Breeze) that will have an outdoor dining area. There will also be two smaller restaurants (possibly Chipotle and Starbucks) and an 81-slip marina.This new project will be called the Riverwalk Marina complex with a projected cost of between $25 million to $30 million. The project will also  create more than 150 jobs.The Melbourne City Council unanimously decided to sell the site to the developer, River Walk Marina Partners LLC, for $2 million.The deal is still not final as the buyer has a 90 day inspection period on the site. Those of you that know me know what a crazy foodie I am. I am always excited by new, innovative restaurants. Crush Eleven, the upscale-casual restaurant that I introduced you to in May of 2016 is moving to downtown Melbourne.Crush Eleven's is moving to the historic Flatiron Building that The Firehouse Restaurant and Lounge used to occupy. Crush Eleven owner Mona Foy says:"We're going to be super sad to leave Cocoa Village. We've made so many friends there.  Crush Eleven, one of the most popular restaurants in Cocoa Village is moving to Historic Downtown Melbourne in the next couple of months. Crush Eleven is an upscale casual restaurant that includes a bar. Today is the day I move into my new Downtown Melbourne, FL office. I love the wonderful central location. It is close to everything. As I was searching I determined that I needed to have certain requirements for the office. 1. Stay off the beachside (too far from many parts of the area). 2. I wanted to be in a "destination area"  A place potential buyers and sellers would go all year long. Downtown has many festivals, restaurants and shops.3. Sushi Factory II in Melbourne, FL is a hard place to review. It does not function as a normal sit down sushi restaurant...nor does it function as an all you can eat sushi buffet. Sushi Factory II is kind of a combo of both concepts,  and sort of works well as both.First, Sushi Factory II has your normal sushi style menu for either dine in or take-out. I am always on the look for any good restaurant. I would love to find a great Mexican restaurant on the Space Coast...but I have often been (with very rare exception) disappointed. Fiesta Azteca in Melbourne, FL is another in a long line of average (though edible) Mexican restaurants. On the good side, Fiesta Azteca looks the part with a traditional look and feel. The food comes out fast and hot. The staff is very friendly and you will almost always find an available table in the large dining room. I ordered Mahi Tacos and my son ordered a traditional Quesadilla.
