The afternoons have been filled with heavy rainstorms around here lately.  We have being having storms with heavy thunder and lightning. Often we find the lights flickering off and on.Yesterday, I got a call from one of my sellers letting me know that the Realtor coming to see her house had not shown up for their 2:30 showing appointment. My seller likes to leave when potential buyers arrive. “Do you think they’re still coming, with all of the rain we’re having?” “I hope so,” I told her. Makoto's Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Bar in Melbourne, FL has an interesting story. It was one of my favorite restaurants when it was located in a hotel directly on U.S.1 some years back. My friends and I would head over in large groups and enjoy the wonderful food, great party rooms and talented chefs. I grew up on Long Island, NY. At the time I think every other radio commercial was about Grumman Corp.I was so pleased in the mid-1980s when they decided to move much of their work force to the Space Coast. Years later they merged with Northrop (another huge defense contractor).Monday at 9:30am Governor Rick Scott announced that Northrop-Grumman won the rights to build America's next great bomber here on the Space Coast. The contract is expected to be worth over 100 billion dollars over the life of the project. The project is expected to add about 1800 engineering and program management jobs with incomes in the $100k plus range to our local Space Coast economy. With our real estate market already in great shape, this will only enhance our upward trajectory! 11/09/2015

Northrop Grumman, the Falls Church, VA based aerospace and defense Contractor has announced that it will be bringing 100+ new jobs to Brevard County after completing the first phase of a 220,000 square foot, $500 million expansion. Positions available will be for engineers, technicians as well as in management, with many of those positions having a high dollar salary level. 400 new positions were added in 2014 with another 300 positions expected to be added by the end of 2015.
