A couple of days ago I was working outside of the office, showing homes to out of town buyers. It was their first time to the area.  We had about 7 houses on the list to look at that day.  I really wanted to be sure to show them around so they could get an overall feeling of the beautiful area in Melbourne Beach Florida that we live in. Before I left my office I programmed my GPS for the 7 houses that we were planning to view that day.  They were all within about 5-7 miles of each other.  Now, anyone showing houses knows that a hundred things can happen between you and those 7 houses you want to look at...we don't and can't always show them in the order we anticipated at the beginning of the day.  There are so many other things that can grab the buyer's attention first. We are seeing some beautiful Fall weather here in Brevard County Florida. The gentle breezes are blowing and their is little humidity in the area. But the wind is wreaking havoc with the Atlantic Ocean.  Surfers love it!  The waves have been larger than normal.  It is not the time to be swimming, still, there are those die hard beach enthusiasts that can't get enough of our beautfiul coastline here in Melbourne Beach Florida. This is the time to be reminded of how dangerous the rip currents can be out in the ocean.  A rip current can pull you under, and most people typically panic when they get caught in one. I'm always looking for the least expensive gasoline that I can find. Prices here in Melbourne Florida have remained consistently above the $3.50 for sometime now. And many have been very close to $4.00 a gallon.  Over the past several weeks I have seen a gradual decline in prices.  I know that oil prices have been dropping. I also know that we have a presidential election in less than 20 days. This is the cheapest gasoline I have seen anywhere in our area. I saw this yesterday in South Melbourne Beach, Brevard County Florida. Interesting that it is currently cheaper on the beachside than the mainland, as often it is more costly. Over the past couple of weeks, I have been working with buyers in South Melbourne Beach Florida.  I always recommend that out of town buyers bring their camera while out seeing an area for the first time.  If they are unable, then I bring mine.  They can capture the sights.  When they go back home, they can enjoy the beautiful pictures they took of the area.  I take lots of pictures and I email them an album of pictures after they leave. In this community you can have the river just steps from your back yard and the beach just steps from your front door. Yesterday, I again spent the day with buyers from South Carolina, looking for a home in Melbourne Beach Florida.  It was a gorgeous day for the most part.  Later in the afternoon the sky got dark, and we got caught in a rain shower that lasted for about 30 minutes.  The sky continued to threaten that it would open up again and drop more rain on us, as we wrapped up our day. Yesterday I spent the day out showing houses with clients that came in from South Carolina.  We headed down Highway A1A here in Melbourne Beach in Brevard County Florida.  We dodged raindrops all day.  The sun would peek out from behind the clouds for a couple of minutes and then the rain would come rolling in.  I had heard that there was a depression in the tropics that was lingering over us. All in all we were fortunate to have stayed fairly dry. Towards the end of a productive day, we headed down to Sebastian Inlet State Park, just minutes from South Melbourne Beach.  I love visiting the park and spending a day with my family when we can get down there.  It wasn't too hot, and the sun was just going down.  It was mesmerizing. I love taking a stroll down the pier in Melbourne Beach Florida.  It is such a beautiful and relaxing place to just sit and watch the birds, the boats and people fishing. My grandparents used to come up from the Fort Lauderdale area of Florida, where they lived and rent a small old historic house right down the street from the pier.  I remember as a little girl, coming up to Melbourne Beach around the holidays to stay in this old historic home with wood floors and squeaky stairs.  It felt so warm and cozy. We would bundle up in our winter coats to go outside so we could run down to the end of the pier and just watch the sunsets.  I remember an older pier.
