I received an email from Teri Eckholm about 2 weeks ago telling me that I had been tagged and that I had to write a meme .  I have had a very average life and I had to think for a while of 5 interesting things you do not know about me.  Here is what I could come up with:I worked as an intern in an oil company after I graduated from a Technical High School in Venezuela.  I was in charge of the daily routine of the tugboat department (making the schedule, ordering supplies, doing reports, etc).  While I was there I got to tour a submarine (a working one), an oil tanker, a merchant ship, a ferry, a yacht, and a tugboat, of course.  The best part of the job was the view as the office was on the 3rd floor and I could see all the Oil tankers with flags all over the world, being pushed and pul...

I wanted to share some real Florida picture. Of course I took them in my hometown.  Can you spot the giveaways?  Let me help you: Mickey and Minnie with Pluto on top of the mail box and of course what better way to say florida that having seashells glued all over the mailbox. It shows real florida spirit and in my opinion more interesting than the regular Pink Flamingos, sorry if you own some, on the lawn. Here is some more interesting picture and much easier to identify.  Can you guess where they were taken?      Did you guess Kissimmee? If you did, then you were right.  Where else would you expect to find a giant orange in the middle of the city? Take a look at some more Kissimmee pictures:

Yes, it is true Kissimmee and all of its residents have arrived to planet Starbucks.  We are officially on the map, a new Starbucks store just opened right on 192 close to the Kissimmee downtown.  You can find the new Starbucks coffee in the corner of Dyer and 192 (vine Street), also a new Washington Mutual Bank and other stores where built in the same area.It should be mentioned that this is actually the second Starbucks to open in the city of Kissimmee.  The first one is located inside the Super Target that is off 192, close to 535.  Very few people know this because there are no signs that indicate that there is a Starbucks inside.  Why? You ask. I am as baffled as you are.  Now I am wondering, does that mean we would be getting a real mall soon also?  Stay tuned, I will keep you pos...

Have you ever thought about buying a vacation home next to Disney?  If you have then here are a few things you have to know and do:Is it going to be a second home or a vacation home used for short term rental? You are buying a second home if you only want it for your family and friends (very good friends) to use.  You are buying a vacation home for short term rental if you, well, use it for rentals.  Why is this important you ask?If you are buying a second home and know for a fact that you will not rent it at all, then you can buy your second home anywhere you want, the only restriction would be personal taste and budget. If you want to try to make up for some of the expenses related to owning a home, like HOA's fees, mowing the lawn, utility bills, pool maintenance, mortgage and taxes, ...

The National Association of Realtors' annual Investment and Vacation Home Buyers Survey, which was released earlier this week, indicates that vacation home sales have been the one bright spot in an otherwise soft real estate market in central Florida real estate, with vacation home sales in 2006 rising 4.7 percent to a record 1.07 million. And in spite of a weak real estate market, people who market vacation properties for sale or rent in the Orlando area continue to be optimistic.  Survey results recently posted on the NAR Web site describe the typical vacation-home buyer as:44 years old, with a median household income of $102,200, who purchased a property that was a median of 215 miles from their primary residence -- less than a full tank of gas.42 percent of vacation homes were clo...
