Here is a picture of my walk to the beach in the morning here in Indialantic Florida. I to run along the beach many mornings (all year long) than I come come to this spot and sit out on the beautiful boardwalk so I can watch the waves roll in and out. If this might be your idea of Heaven (like it is for me) then give me a call or email and we can set up a time for a visit and an area tour. You will be glad you did! I love the small strip center that is located at the end of Rt 192 (5th Ave) in Indialantic. It has my favorite Starbucks, Bizzarro Pizza (my favorite Pizza), Cold Stone Creamery (always good by the beach) and Burrito Ranch Co. Today my son and I decided to go to Burrito Ranch Co. First, I want to say that this is not a bad place...and has a great location. The problem is we have many quality Tex/Mex burrito style restaurants and Burrito Ranch Co. just does not measure up. The food is acceptable (not great) but they do have a nice Tex/Mex menu and also offer cheesesteak sandwiches. My boy noticed the place is not the cleanest you will find and he saw ants in the drink cup they gave him. We got a new cup and cleaned everything first before we ate. I had a burrito and he had a quesadilla...

I really like to hang out at City Tropics. It has a great location (just west of the beach on 5th Ave), an amazing happy hour, really cool indoor/outdoor bars and a large array of food options so you can usually accommodate everyone in a group. The food is decent and includes both normal bar food (burgers, sandwiches, salads, etc...) as well as a full menu and a sushi bar! The seating area is large and includes indoor and outdoor seating as well as a large sliding glass wall that allows them to take advantage of our wonderful Florida weather. The Happy Hour runs from 11am to 7pm and offers $2 domestic beer, $2 well drinks and a great happy hour menu with a number of items for $5. Try the Tuna Sliders...they are really good! On the negative side...the food is decent but not great. The s...

First things first...a bunch of places all along the Space Coast are called Bizzarro...the ONLY one I am reviewing is the location at the very end of 5th Ave in Indialantic...right on the beach! The others have mixed results at best with some not worth reviewing at all. That being said...The Original Bizzarro New York Pizza on 5th Ave is without question the best pizza on the Space Coast (the best cheese pizza, best white pizza...and best Sicilian pizza). This place has large thin crust NY style pizza that will make you feel like you just got off a plane at JFK. They sell full pies as well as by the slice ($2.75 for a cheese or white slice) and they serve fountain drinks and beer as well as a very good full Italian menu (try the eggplant parmigiana sub). A couple of words of advice...t...

I love Sushi. It is one of those cuisines I am willing to travel a distance to eat. Thankfully Thai Thai II located in Indialantic at the corner of A1A and Paradise Beach is not only really good Sushi...it has a great beachside location directly across A1A from Paradise Beach Park...in the same plaza as Ichabod's and Bunky's. Thai Thai II has an equally good sister restaurant in Melbourne with a very similar menu. The Sushi and Pad Thai are both really good and very fresh. At Thai Thai II you will usually find a full house inside and outside on the patio (if the weather is good) until late in the night (by Space Coast standards) You will usually see three very busy sushi chefs. This place hums! I have not had a bad meal here...my suggestion...sit out on the patio...try the seaweed sala...

The Jungle is an interesting local business that is located in Indialantic, FL...directly across from the Atlantic Ocean (about 1/2 mile south of Eau Gallie Blvd) on Hwy A1A. It is part really good organic restaurant and well stocked organic market. This is a place I often stop by for lunch...and then stock up on some organic vegetables and other needs like organic beer and wine, gluten free items...and even organic pet foods. The restaurant is open for lunch (or brunch on Sunday) all week...and opens for dinner on Friday and Saturday nights. I love the salads, sandwiches and veggie burgers that The Jungle has to offer. My favorite is the Balsamic Roasted Eggplant Sandwich...it is so tasty you might find yourself ordering it most every time you come here. Brunch offers (along with the ...

In the 1920's as strange as it may seem...alcohol was illegal in the U.S. Many rum-runners of the time practiced their trade off the coast of Indialantic. It was during this period that the Indialantic Casino was a thriving location for many movers and shakers to meet and greet, do business, relax and of course party! The location of the Indialantic Casino is the spot that is now John Nance Park (on the northern side of Rt 192/5th Ave...directly on the Atlantic Ocean)...in fact a sign marks the spot across the parking lot from Bizzarro Famous New York Pizza (the best pizza in town). The Indialantic Casino had a large salt water pool and a long boardwalk that visitors could stroll on and take in the beautiful Central Florida winter weather...the average high temps in Indialantic in the ...

The Townhomes of Brevard is a complex of two bedroom townhomes that is located in Indialantic, FL. The complex is just west of Hwy A!A about 3/4 of a mile north of 5th Ave in Indialantic. All the Townhomes are on Palmetto Ave (a dead end street that is within walking distance of Indialantic Elementary School (an A-Rated grade school in the Brevard County School System). The entire complex is less then one block from the Atlantic Ocean...so the beach is obviously a big draw! The Townhomes are grouped in sections of six homes...four two story homes in the middle with two one story homes on each end. Each of the Townhomes have two assigned parking spots...one is under a covered carport. Every townhouse has a large screened in back patio. They also each have private front courtyards that ca...

A new restaurant just opened up a few days ago on 5th Ave (Rt 192) in Indialantic and it is a Carolina style BBQ / Norfolk hot dog joint called Max & Porky's. I decided to head there for lunch today and review it for my readers (and of course because I am in love with Carolina BBQ)! BBQ seems to start more arguments then any other type of food. There are four real players in the BBQ wars....Carolina, Texas, Hawaii, Memphis and Kansas City. Each area has there own special style...and I must admit I do not know why all the arguments break out...because I love all five! Carolina has a lighter style BBQ sauce that is more vinegar based...very good. For the sake of writing this post I felt the need to try both the Carolina BBQ and the Norfolk Dogs. This is a counter style restaurant that is...

I am kinda picky about who cuts my hair. I don't want someone who is just out of school...nor am I looking for a part-time do it on the side barista-Realtor-Hair Stylist. This is why I love Creations on 5th Avenue in Indialantic. Although I am willing to travel to get a good haircut...Creations excellent location (it's on the south side of 5th Ave/Rt 192 sharing a parking lot with Subway) makes it an easy commute from almost anywhere on the Space Coast.                                                                                                                                                                             The ladies at Creations all have 20 years experience in every procedure you could possibly want done at a hair/nail salon. The Groove Oceanfront Concert Series is back at the Crowne Plaza on A1A in Indialantic, FL 2012 marks the seventh year of Jazz on the beach at the Crowne Plaza...and it is one of the Space Coast's favorite nights out! The jazz concert series is every Wednesday night from 5:30 to 8:30 (with the live music starting at 6pm). The music is help rain or shine (if it is raining they move it indoors to the banquet rooms). The Crowne Plaza is located on Hwy A1A...directly on the Atlantic Ocean...between Rt. 192 and Eau Gallie Blvd in Indialantic Florida. If you are coming from I-95 get off at Eau Gallie Blvd and head east until you hit the Ocean....make a right...the Crowne Plaza is about a mile south of Eau Gallie.

I love to write restaurant reviews...it allows me to check out all the different restaurants in the area (and since this is a business blog I get to write off the expense on my taxes!!!). Even though I visit many restaurants throughout the County I must admit there are a few that I come back to time and time again...Petrillo's in Indialantic is one of those. To start with...and for those from the Northeast...Petrillo's is owned by the Petrillo Family from New York (originally Mom and Dad but now passed down to their son) and you can feel that New York influence on the offerings on the extensive Italian menu items they offer. Some of my favorites are: Eggplant Parmigiana...very good version of this classic.Chicken Marsala...always perfectly cooked San Gennaro Feast...sausage and peppers...

If you ever travel down Eau Gallie Blvd to the beach...you know that at the very end of Eau Gallie you will run directly into Canova Beach Park right on the Indian Harbour Beach / Indialantic border. The park itself has a nice array of family style amenities like outside showers, indoor bathroom facilities, beach access and an ample free parking lot. Add to the family offerings a spot on the beach for your dog! That's right...Canova Beach Park is now the first dog friendly park in Brevard County. Dogs have been banned from the beach for many years so this is a nice development for those looking to bring man's best friend down to take a dip in the ocean! You will have some restrictions on your pet including the fact that a leash must be worn the entire time your pet is hanging out with ...

In the South Brevard Beach area we have quite a few really nice townhome complexes that are within close proximity to the beach....but few have as much to offer potential buyers the Townhomes of Paradise Park in Indialantic! The townhomes themselves are in a well maintained community just west of Paradise Beach Park (on the south side of Paradise)...the park is a public beachfront park with tons of amenities. (Here is a link to info about the park: http://activerain.com/blogsview/2453908/space-coast-parks-recreation-series-paradise-beach-park-indialantic-fl ) What really sets the Townhomes of Paradise Park apart from other similar communities is the amazing location. From the public park to the close by restaurants and shopping (Ichabod's, Bunky's, Monkey Bar, Thai Thai II and much mor...

We live in a warm weather climate here on the Space Coast. This tends to allow good ice cream shops to thrive...and they usually do. In Indialantic a long time institution has been Moo's Soft Serve on A1A (between the 5th Ave and Eau Gallie). This place will make you feel like you just hopped off a time machine and landed in 1970. Moo's serves good to great soft serve ice cream (real ice cream...nothing fake about this place)...low fat and sugar free versions...and some food items as well (they always have a special...4 Coney hot dogs for $6...not a misprint!) including some really good sliders....but the draw is the soft serve ice cream...it is the best on the beach! They have a drive-thru window so you can keep the a/c on in the car when it is 95 degrees...as well as a walk up window...

For some reason...regardless of the Coast you are on...if you are in an area that is big on surfing...and the Brevard County beaches are definitely a surfers Paradise...you will find good to great burrito joints. From the first time you enter you will understand this is a place a part time surfer can get his needed fix. The TV's will have highlights of great surfing exploits to help you digest the burritos that are as big as your head. The prices are amazing...with Burritos running from $5.50 to 7.00...tax included!
