On Wednesday, April 30th comes an event that I look forward to in my adopted home town of Hollywood, Florida every year! I would love to say that it is because it has been moved from Harrison Street to our lovely ArtsPark at Young Circle, or that I love the networking opportunities. These are both true, but the real reason I never miss this event is the food! I once went to a 4/2 house showing that was for sale and on the market for $165,000. The Listing Agent described the house as "Handyman Special". Upon entering the house, there was nothing but wet debris from the obvious roof that was half missing and from the rain that had been falling inside the house on a daily basis, (it was one of those weeks where it rained every day for several days at a time and non-stop). There was clutter everywhere; the black mold that was on the walls was unbearable not only to look at but also embarrasing to show to a potential investor, (is that expected from a handyman home?).
