A hidden gem on a Gainesville home for sale is lifestyle logistics.  The details of any home for sale in Gainesville are shown in the detailed MLS displays.  Buyers can easily sort through details such as lot size, square footage, number of bedrooms, number of bathrooms, the age of a home.  But our MLS database doesn’t answer a couple of important questions for buyers that relate to their lifestyle. How far is the home from where I will work? What schools are designated for this home? Where is the nearest grocery store? It’s all about LOGISTICS!    Some buyers want to buy a home in a specific school zone.  I’ve had home buyers come visit Gainesville from out of state.   Before they get here, they have done their research on our local schools.  Many have told me that they want a home in ...

This is a BIG shout out to a new DEVICE that I bought at my Gainesville AT&T store a couple of weeks ago!  It has improved my daily life (at home) and wanted to share!  As a workaholic Gainesville Realtor®, I’ve got to have the latest hardware for my techy tools! I went to my local AT&T store to upgrade my iPhone.  While there, I was talking about how I was hoping the upgrade hardware to the iPhone 5S would increase my cell signal reception at home. The sales clerk asked, “why”?   I then explained that I live out in the Jonesville area, and in a brick home – and my cell signal stinks.  When my cell phone rings, I have to jump up, grab my phone and run out the front door to have a decent signal.  For years, I have walked around in my front yard on the phone with my real estate customers. ...

A very important factor to getting your Gainesville Home Sold starts with a very simple yet important issue.....Curb Appeal! Home buyers always search online for Gainesville homes for sale, yet we all know that photos don't always tell the true story of the condition of the home. When buyers are viewing homes with their agent, the real-life first impression is VISUAL.  We like to call that curb appeal. When they pull up in front of your home, the condition of the front is the first impression! Here is a list of things that I always notice on any Gainesville Home For Sale....and the buyers in my car will notice too. Is the lawn manicured and maintained? Are the walkways, curbs, and driveway edged? Are the hedges trimmed? Check if you've got weeds growing in the landscape beds too. Get th...

Feeling a bit overstuffed from too much holiday indulgence?  This zucchini hummus recipe is light, raw, healthy, enzymatically active and most importantly: delicious.  Zucchini hummus is essentially the same concept as hummus but instead of using garbanzo beans, you use raw zucchini.  I find it is easier to digest than regular hummus and I also prefer the taste.  It makes a great salad dressing, dip for veggies, crackers and pretzels and tastes great on a hamburger with carmalized onions as well.  You can also try it in wraps or on sandwiches or by the spoonful! I use organic veggies, spices and tahini in my recipe and Colavita Olive Oil.   1 1/2 medium zucchini, skin on 3 lemons, juiced 1/3 c olive oil 5 garlic cloves (this is my preference, you may put less if you'd like a milder flav...
