Hold Hands 4 Haiti ~ Saturday, Feb. 20, at 10 am on Fleming Island Raised over $25,000! Thousands of Fleming Island and Clay County residents joined together to Hold Hands 4 Haiti in an effort to feed 1,000,000 Haitians in the devastated country of Haiti. The event had a lofty goal of holding hands from the Drs. Lake bridge to the Black Creek bridge.  Volunteers showed up starting at 10 am and at 10:45, everyone held hands. A photographer from the Times Union was among us, along with a plane flying over to videotape the event for Fox News. FISH Ministries will use the money to help feed the Haitians in the area they have been working for the past 30 years. I am watching the Olympics.  I am specifically watching the practice and the falling...and the getting back up and doing it again!  Bravery at it's best. Mr. Watson says the real estate recession won't last forever. In an interview with the Florida Times Union last week, Bill Watson, CEO and Founder of Watson Realty, shared some thoughts on the current market. As background, Mr. Watson predicted in 2003 that there would be a real estate recession by October 2005. He was 6 months off - by April 2006, the downward slide began. Valentine Day is one of my favorite times of the year!  There are many reasons why but the biggest is that it's my anniversary.... 11 years together.  Good stuff--- However, today is also the day that most people are off from work.  And with this particular buyer they have been patiently waiting an entire year.  When you wait a year you may want to see a few homes.  Visit more than the typical 6 or 7.  Go to the new, and the older.  See some foreclosures and see some seller owned.  Might want to dabble in the short sale, but you never know! Green Cove Springs Florida is seriously a place you could technically walk to from Fleming Island Florida....I wouldn't, but you could! Last week, on our caravan we had the privilege of viewing this amazing home.  Listed by Christie Radneyof Coldwell Banker it really defines luxury.  From the bookshelves that open into a home theater, to the faux cabinet the heads to the second kitchen and the laundry room!
