I love to drive, I really really do.... So much so that I once drove by myself from Palm Coast, Florida to San Fran, and enjoyed every minute of it (well, I could have done without the hitch-hiker...) Now, I am spending so much time behind my keyboard that I hardly ever leave the house, save for an occasional trip to see a client or to the store.  So when I was asked a few days ago to run an errand for a friend which involved taking off for an hour without feeling guilty about it, I was all for it.  It was a rather silly little favor that took me from 12 miles inland across the bridge to A1A.  For those of you who don't know, A1A is our scenic highway along the Atlantic coast, and is absolutely beautiful.  During tourist season, it's bustling with traffic of all kinds, from bikini-clad ...

Palm Coast looks at Sea Ray funding options By KARI COBHAM Staff Writer "PALM COAST -- City Manager Jim Landon didn't bother to sugarcoat it Tuesday. Landon proposed at a City Council workshop costly economic incentives to help improve Sea Ray Boats' local plant and keep the manufacturer in operation. As part of the deal still under consideration, Palm Coast could grant Sea Ray $1.2 million in funding for outstanding capital improvements. In turn, the company must remain open or repay the city. The city also will offer $200,000 debt forgiveness annually for each year Sea Ray stays open, Landon said. "This, by no means, is a giveaway; this is an investment," Landon said." Today my heart is extremely heavy.  It's a very sad day for the CENTURY 21 Sundance Family and the Dance family.  George Dance, loving husband to Nancy Dance and father and grandfather of a very large group passed away today. Not only was he a pillar in the community but has inspired many including myself and many others.  There really are no words to make things better, there are only memories that we all keep close to our hearts.  Funeral arrangements have been made: Craig Funeral Home, 115 Old Kings Road, Flagler Beach, Florida October 9th, 3pm is visitation and 4 p.m. is the service. Please, continue fighting for a cure for cancer but most of all tell your loved ones how much they mean to you today!  Godspeed George Dance...you will be missed.  Nancy Dance and family...you are loved...

Last summer I wrote about Florida's Other Snow-Bird~The Northern Atlantic Right Whales...I told you about how they come visit us for 2 to 3 months in the winter season, have their babies then head back to Nova Scotia. I gave you backgroud information on why they are so endangered and what is being done to try to bring their numbers back.I also told you about the volunteers here in Flagler and Volusia Counties that do nothing but watch for these wonderous creatures 7 days a week. Yesterday I got my first Northeren Atlantic Right Whale Sighting email of the season, I was so excited! We had a mother and calf between St. Augustine and the Matanzas Inlet. This morning I got an update and the pair are now the Flagler County area! Yesterday they were last spotted headed "out to sea" just north ...

Should we wait until next year to buy?  I am asked this question time and time again by potential buyers and I am constantly searching for the best answer to this complex question.   Sure…It’s a buyer’s market right now, prices have fallen greatly over the last year, but have they hit rock bottom or should buyers wait it out for even better deals?  For those first-time home buyers asking this question, there is more than one reason to seriously consider buying now:   1.  It’s a buyers market.  But what does that really mean?  There is a lot of inventory on the market, and sellers are now, more than ever, willing to NEGOTIATE on what price they will accept for their home.  Buyers are looking for “deals” and if one particular seller is not willing to bargain, they can find another seller...
