The beginning of this week started with the Jeep-siege of Daytona. Jeeps were everywhere. On the roads, on the International Speedway, on the Beach…The biggest Jeep event in the nation started only 7 years ago, and the first one attracted only a few hundred of Jeeps. It is so easy to get into an awkward situation. I was showing a condo unit, and there was another agent who was showing before me, and when she returned the keys, she complained, that she could not open the door, so she showed other units, but did not show this unit."Maybe you are lucky" said me the lady at the reception desk as she gave me a small envelope with the keys.I know that sometimes you need to wiggle, and I took the keys. I love the Fall in Daytona Beach. The temperatures comfortably in the mid to upper 80s, and it is a welcome change from even low 90s. It is comfortably warm. A few days ago I posted on my blog about Plaza Resort & Spa in Daytona Beach. In this post I look at what is for sale in this condo-hotel now, compare it to what was sold in 2016 and 2015, and ponder on the possible scenarious for the immediate future of our condo-hotel market in general and the market at The Plaza Resort & Spa in particular.Even when it seems like a very slow moving market, it is still moving and the changes are noticeable, though not as pronounced as we would like. There are 14 units for sale in this centrally located oceanfront condo-hotel. Comparing it to other condo-hotel, it does pretty well. The resort is in good shape both physically and financially.Surprisingly they are doing even better than some condo-hotels, that used to be a level or two better and had better clientele. Fountain beach Resort moved up and some of their competitors went down.It is a tricky business, and making predictions here is nearly impossible.
