Aliki in 1973, and Ocean Ritz in 1974. 70s were the period of construction boom in Daytona Beach area and 70s have pretty much shaped the Daytona skyline for decades. ALIKI & OCEAN RITZ CONDOMINIUMS IN DAYTONA BEACH  These sister condominiums on the Atlantic Ave, at the north end of Daytona Beach right by the Ormond Beach border, are always very noticeable.  The developer - Andy Xepapas - as the legend has it, called the first one Aliki Condominiums built in 1973 in honor of his wife Aliki. There are several condos developed by Xepapas, and they are all Alikis: Aliki Tower, Aliki Forum, Aliki Atrium...I heard that Ocean Ritz was initially also called Aliki, but changed the name when developer sold the project. In this market if you do not diversify, you may easily find your self in trouble. There is no surprise that many agents turned to property management, something we did not want to touch a few years ago. We started from doing it for some of our clients who bought condos in the area, and needed to rent them until they retire and come, or until they decide to sell.
