...Florida Attorney General, Bill McCollum filed discrimination lawsuit in Circuit Court against a community in the Four Courners. The charges states that the community unfairly refused to sell a home to a couple due to disability issues.On February 2nd, the lawsuit was filed in Bartow and calls for injunction, as well as other statutory relief against High Vista, which is a 55+ adult community and is part of the Ridgewood Lakes.The buyer filed a complaint with the commission back in April of 2005 after he was denied the opportunity to purchase a home next door to his parents who are facing medical problems of their own.
