It was a beautiful day in Crestview, Florida. I wanted to post an article tonight from THe Crestview News Bulletin about a little boy that has touched my heart. Everywhere I go in our awesome community, in Crestview, I hear about what a great kid this little boy is and what an incredible family he has. I am a mother of three children and I can't even start to imagine what this family must be going through. After my son accidentally shot my youngest son and the bullet lodged in the left chamber of his heart and he had to undergo open heart surgery to remove the bullet, we were terrified that he might die. That was an awakening time in our life when we realized that this kind of thing doesn't just happen to other people, but yes, it can happen in our family.  Stormwater Workshop Scheduled for Next Week The Okaloosa County Board of Commissioners will meet to discuss Stormwater issues, on Tuesday, February 13. The workshop is scheduled for 9 a.m. and the public is encouraged to attend. Parks Advisory Committee Meetings Scheduled for 2007 The Okaloosa County Parks Advisory Committee's first meeting will be held in Crestview from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. The meetings will alternate between Crestview and Fort Walton Beach throughout the year.
