SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket launch moved to Thursday 4-11-19 The Falcon Heavy launch was been pushed back one day due to upper level winds that could have blown the rocket off course. The window opened at 6:35pm, Eastern Time on Wednesday evening but SpaceX pushed the launch back twice due to upper level winds. UPDATE: SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket launch Wednesday April 10, 2019 was scrubbed UPDATE: SpaceX has SCRUBBED tonight's launch of the Falcon Heavy due to winds. The next attempt could be tomorrow. SpaceX will launch the Falcon Heavy rocket today, Wednesday, April 10, 2019 after delaying it for one day due to weather conditions yesterday. Delta IV rocket launch is Friday, March 15, 2019 Cape Canaveral AFS A Delta IV rocket is set to launch on Friday, March 15, 2019 from Launch Complex 37, Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, on Florida’s Space Coast.  It will carry a U.S. Air Force Wideband Global Satcom communications satellite. Rip Current Safety Tips Here on Cocoa Beach we have had onshore wind, large ocean swells and what is known as an “aggressive tidal range”. The result is perfect conditions have been created for rip currents to form on our beaches. The Brevard County lifeguards and Cocoa Beach Fire Department have reported an increase in calls for assistance this week. It is important to know that rip currents are occurring and even more so, to know how to minimize your risk while on our beaches. The City of Cocoa Beach advises everyone to follow the steps below to be safe from rip currents. 1. Cocoa Beach Parking Permits are now on sale  The 2019 parking permits for the City of Cocoa Beach are now on sale. The fee is $15.00 for residents of Cocoa Beach and $70.00 for non-residents. Permits are valid at all paid parking areas in the City of Cocoa Beach except Shephard Park. Without a permit, parking rates are $2.50/hour or $10/day at most of the paid parking areas. Be sure to bring both your driver’s license and registration as proof of residency to purchase your permit.
